One of the most common causes of Houston auto accidents is speeding. Many people view the speed limit signs as nothing more than a 'starting point' and add '10' with the mistaken notion that this is an acceptable and common practice that will probably not result in a traffic ticket.

Again, it may require drivers around them to change lanes or brake quickly and it opens up the possibility for accidents.
Just as there are maximum speed limits - there are minimum speed limits as well in most states. Vehicles that are unable to reach the minimum speed limit are prohibited from traveling on highways.
